Another memorable family reunion on the slopes. This time we realised shortly after we entered the village that Sölden was apparently where one of the more recent James Bond movies had been filmed – this became all the more apparent from slope to slope with the numerous ads on the ski lifts, but they did pick a good spot.
I can’t remember the details much (too much excellent wine), but I’ve added my five favourite photos here.
Almost everyone…
The perfection of cruising over freshly smoothed out snow…
My brothers worst nightmare, but paradise for everyone else…
Looking out from a bar with a 360 view across the mountains…
Regarding Sölden – gorgeous and busy village, excellent raclette restaurant, nice woodland walks, good slopes (if slightly slushy nearing the end of the season in March, although the few black slopes were worth it) both in the village and a short drive away. Although with my baby niece in my arms, the holiday would have been perfect any way.
