This title is sort of twofold. Firstly I’m catching up with what I have been doing for the last year, and secondly because between getting back from South America and working, the first trip I managed to plan was a weekend away in Prague to visit an old friend.
I had last visited Prague when I was 18 and had just finished school, renting an apartment and exploring for a week. This was more of a quick stopover, with more time spent laughing and chatting over food and drink than sightseeing. Conveniently it was Christmas market time, so we had more than our fair share of mulled wine and incredible freshly fried potato crisps, along with huge chunks of ham and a tub of festive cheese. There was some castle touring, old town wandering, ice-skating and christmas light admiring that went on too! I particularly appreciated the random James Bond bar we wandered into with amazing cocktails & unlimited snacks although I can’t remember the name of it… The Christmas markets around every corner made this short break into one big long food tour – although it was nice to see this side of Prague too.
What a gorgeous city (bloody freezing too) which I’ll try to summarise (keeping it short and sweet) in 5 photos.
